About

The Autistic Golf Society (AGS) Community Interest Company (CIC) is registered in England as a non-profit entity for the benefit of the community.

The founder is an accredited PGA Golf Professional, holds a first class BSc in Professional Golf Studies with honours, is a postgraduate inclusion student, and researcher specialising in inclusion practices for Autistic adults.

How the project began:

In 2025 the relationship of Autistic Adults and golf was researched as an undergraduate research project. The report was peer reviewed published in the GAP Journal in October 2025.

That process prompted the initial considerations about how the golf environment and industry could be improved to better serve Autistic people.

Not long after the publication the AGS CIC was founded in December 2025.

Objectives

AGS advances three linked objectives across all activity.

  1. To establish consistent and reliable participation conditions for its members.
  2. To produce grounded evidence on participation within real golf environments.
  3. To apply that evidence to shape clubs/locations, coaching, and governance.

Core aims and intentions:

Essentially, the AGS is aiming to act as a representative conduit between the golf industry and Autistic golfers, putting your Autistic voice in central focus.

The organisation will be engaging with framework development and a variety of support programmes fuelled by participation data and feedback.

Please take some time and go through the documentation and project outlines to fully understand the objectives of the organisation, how you can get involved, and what you find most interesting.
